This Liability Release is between Animal Aid for Vermilion Area ("AAVA") and the approved foster family ("Foster"). Please read all terms carefully before signing.
Release of liability. The Foster acknowledges that fostering animals carries inherent risks, including but not limited to: bites, scratches, property damage, and transmission of illness. The Foster agrees to hold AAVA, its officers, volunteers, and agents harmless from any claims, injuries, damages, or losses arising from the foster placement, except in cases of AAVA's gross negligence.
Medical authorization. The Foster authorizes AAVA to obtain emergency veterinary care for the foster animal if AAVA is unable to reach the Foster in a timely manner. The Foster understands that AAVA will cover the cost of approved veterinary care.
Property damage. AAVA is not responsible for damage caused by the foster animal to the Foster's property, belongings, or home. The Foster accepts this risk as part of the fostering commitment.
Third-party injury. The Foster agrees to take reasonable precautions to prevent the foster animal from injuring visitors, neighbors, or other animals. The Foster assumes responsibility for the animal's actions while in their care.
Indemnification. The Foster agrees to indemnify and hold AAVA harmless from any third-party claims arising from the Foster's care or handling of the animal during the foster period.
Photo & media release. The Foster grants AAVA permission to use photos or videos of the foster animal (and optionally the Foster) for adoption promotion, social media, and fundraising purposes.
